ABOUT THE RULES-


Rules for the International Checkers Association change every year.  Throughout the year new rules may be added to the list.  These rules apply for all Events through out the year.

Code of Ethics

1. Player uses profanity in any way he/she will be disqualified from the tournament.
2. Racism involved in tournaments will cause the player to be Banned for good from ICA..
3. If the leader of the team/group uses profainity/racism, their team will be banned as well as the leader. NOTE- Banned means the team may NOT compete again with that name or the leader may not compete under any team.
4. Teams that fight during ICA tournaments will be warned- If the teams do not complete their warning and continue their actions, they will be disqualified from the tournament.

If rules listed above or other serious issues against other teams that are listed as ICA associates in the Rankings page are forfield, The same punishments may be applied because of the teams that are associated with ICA even if they are not Events hosted by ICA.

DURING GAMES:

VOG GAMES
1. If a player is to BLUE- A host has the power to Disqualify that person.
2. For IA Nationals, U.S. Festival, and World Tournament, if a player Blue's once, he/she is Disqualified from that game.

FOR ALL SITES
1. If a player is disconnected- He/she has a chance to return in 7 minutes. If he/she fails to do so- The person will lose that game and may return during another round that is not finished, he/she may play in the remaining rounds.

MORE INFORMATION- Some tournaments have lineups that are 2 games per rounds.  If this is that type of tournamnet and a player is disconnected, you will be given 7 minutes to return, if fail to do so the 1st game will be a loss and 2nd put as a draw which means 2 and 1/2 Points are lost. If you are playingand are disconnected on 2nd game and fail to return in the time limit- You will lose that the points for that game. If the opponent does NOT save the game, the opponent will have to start all over with his games if the player returns with in the time limit. If the player does not return, the game will be counted as a draw.

TIMERS

If the timer of the person is to run out in timed games such as 3/1, 1/1, or any other timer, it will be considered a loss to the player and a win towards the opponent.

Anything to do with back talking in any way towards Hosts or Board members of ICAwill cause you to be disqualified from the Tournament, on Probation, or Banned from ICA : The Host decides the punishment:
